Good afternoon. Welcome to the press conference of the 24th World Route Development Forum 2018.

世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)被譽(yù)為全球民航界的“奧運(yùn)會(huì)”。我們非常高興，全球航空業(yè)關(guān)注的2018年世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)即將在美麗的花城廣州拉開(kāi)帷幕。為了更好地幫助大家了解本屆廣州世航會(huì)的有關(guān)情況，我們今天特別邀請(qǐng)了大會(huì)主辦、承辦方的負(fù)責(zé)人向大家通報(bào)有關(guān)籌備工作情況。

The World Route Development Forum is hailed as the“Olympic Games” of the global civil aviation sector. We are very pleased that the World Route Development Forum 2018, which is of interest to the global aviation industry, will be held in the beautiful flower city of Guangzhou. In order to better help you understand the Guangzhou World Route Development Forum, we specially invite the heads of the sponsors and organizations of the forum to inform the relevant preparatory work.

Good afternoon everyone. I’m Steven Small, Brand Director for the Routes events, and I’m very pleased to be in Guangzhou for this important occasion.

本周末，2018世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)將在廣州召開(kāi)。首先，我要感謝廣東省人民政府、廣州市人民政府以及廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)管理集團(tuán)對(duì)舉辦此次活動(dòng)的大力支持。在解釋選擇廣州承辦這次世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)的原因之前，請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我介紹一下我們組織的這次航線(xiàn)大會(huì)及航線(xiàn)發(fā)展論壇的有關(guān)基本情況。

I would like to begin by thanking the People’s government of Guangdong province, People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangdong Airport Authority for enabling us to be here today to celebrate World Routes 2018 being held in Guangzhou this coming weekend.

Before I talk about the reasons why Guangzhou was selected to host this year’s World Routes event, I would firstly like to give you give some background to the Routes business and the route development forums that we organize.

博聞/英富曼是世界上最大的企業(yè)對(duì)企業(yè)活動(dòng)組織者，而世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)則是其中的一塊業(yè)務(wù)。我們的航線(xiàn)發(fā)展論壇是大會(huì)的核心，為航空公司、機(jī)場(chǎng)及旅行目的地就開(kāi)展今后的航空業(yè)務(wù)提供面對(duì)面的交流機(jī)會(huì)。從年初至今，地區(qū)性的航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)已經(jīng)在南北美洲、亞洲、歐洲以及非洲舉行，而作為今年重頭戲的世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展論壇將于9月召開(kāi)。

約3200名業(yè)內(nèi)專(zhuān)家將出席本周末在廣州舉行的世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)。世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)每年都會(huì)在不同的城市舉辦，使得航空業(yè)界人士可以親身體驗(yàn)當(dāng)?shù)貦C(jī)場(chǎng)及旅行目的地所提供的各種設(shè)施及服務(wù)。為此，我們采用主辦城市模式，通過(guò)競(jìng)標(biāo)來(lái)確定主辦方。

Routes is part of UBM/Informa – the largest organizer of business to business events in the world.

Our forums are at the heart of the route development community, providing a meeting place forairlines, airports and destinations to plan and negotiate future air services.

Regional events are held in the Americas, Asia, Europe and Africa at the beginning of the year, and the flagship World Routes forum takes place in September.

Around 3,200 route development professionals are scheduled to attend this year’s World Routes in Guangzhou this weekend.

Routes events move to a new city every year to give members of the aviation industry first-hand experiences of what an airport and destination has to offer. We operate a hosted model and airports and destinations enter a bidding process to host the event.

世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)吸引了來(lái)自各國(guó)旅游部長(zhǎng)、航空公司及機(jī)場(chǎng)的首席執(zhí)行官、高級(jí)國(guó)際航班規(guī)劃師在內(nèi)的航空界決策者們。各路精英濟(jì)濟(jì)一堂與機(jī)場(chǎng)管理層共同探討全球航空服務(wù)的未來(lái)。我們與主辦方密切協(xié)作，以了解并實(shí)現(xiàn)主辦方的目標(biāo)，這些目標(biāo)通常是我們雙方所共同希望達(dá)成的，比如說(shuō)開(kāi)辟新航線(xiàn)，提升旅行目的地的形象甚至是改變?nèi)藗儗?duì)主辦方的傳統(tǒng)印象。能夠與主辦方共同舉辦大會(huì)，從而服務(wù)于航線(xiàn)發(fā)展業(yè)界，并為之提供良好的營(yíng)商平臺(tái)，改善未來(lái)的航空服務(wù)，我們對(duì)此感到驕傲和自豪。

Routes attracts the real decision-makers from the aviation industry including; Ministers of Tourism, CEO’s from both airlines and airports and, of course, senior Airline Network Planners from the world’s airlines who meet with airports to discuss the future of air services throughout the globe.

We work with our hosts to understand and deliver their objectives which usually include the common aims of gaining new routes, raising a destination’s profile and, in some cases, changing people’s perceptions.

We are very proud to create and deliver an event alongside our hosts, which serve the route development community, providing them with an exciting platform to do business and agree on future services.

A study by independent consultants York Aviation found that previous hosts of Routes forums have increased their route networks more quickly than their close competitors, so there is a compelling argument for airports and destinations to host our events.

New routes bring massive economic benefits – they create jobs, connect businesses and help to boost tourism. As a consequence, the bidding process to host an event is extremely competitive.

在確定今年世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)主辦方時(shí)，我們希望把目光轉(zhuǎn)回中國(guó)，因?yàn)橹袊?guó)在未來(lái)的五年之內(nèi)有望成為全球最大的航空市場(chǎng)。

When considering the bids for this particular year’s World Routes, we knew that we wanted to return toChina as the country is set to become the world’s largest aviation market within the next five years.

中國(guó)正計(jì)劃在2020年前新增50座機(jī)場(chǎng)，2017年全球旅客吞吐量增長(zhǎng)前20名的干線(xiàn)機(jī)場(chǎng)，中國(guó)占據(jù)了11名。而促進(jìn)航線(xiàn)發(fā)展也寫(xiě)入中國(guó)十三五規(guī)劃，將聚集于航線(xiàn)發(fā)展的大會(huì)放到中國(guó)來(lái)舉辦，正可謂順應(yīng)天時(shí)地利。

It is planning 50 additional airports by 2020 and 11 of the top 20 fastest growing major airports in the world by passenger numbers in 2017 were in China. Hosting World Routes in China is a great fit due to the fact that the event is solely focused on route development and route development is a key tenant of the 13^th Five-year plan.

不過(guò)，如果沒(méi)有合適的主辦方和競(jìng)標(biāo)方案，這次大會(huì)也不可能在廣州召開(kāi)。早在2015年的時(shí)候，廣州機(jī)場(chǎng)管理當(dāng)局的專(zhuān)業(yè)素養(yǎng)和戰(zhàn)略眼光就令我們刮目相看。他們對(duì)大會(huì)在廣州舉辦志在必得。以白云機(jī)場(chǎng)2號(hào)航站樓落成投入使用為契機(jī)，在廣東省人民政府、廣州市人民政府以及廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)管理集團(tuán)的大力支持下，第24屆世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展論壇最終落戶(hù)廣州。2018年世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)的舉辦，將使廣州引入新的航空服務(wù)，為廣州與國(guó)內(nèi)乃至亞洲機(jī)場(chǎng)展開(kāi)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)助一臂之力。同時(shí)，本次盛會(huì)也將為廣東省和廣州市提供向全球航空業(yè)界展示自我的機(jī)會(huì)。

However, without the right host and the right bid the event is not possible and back in 2015 we were extremely impressed with the highly professional and strategically focused Guangzhou Airport Authority team were.

They were so focused and determined in bringing the event to Guangzhou. The Terminal 2 developments at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport together with the alignment of all the key stakeholders; the People’sgovernment of Guangdong province, People’s Government of Guangzhou Municipality and Guangdong Airport Authority made Guangzhou the ideal host city for the 24^th World Route Development Forum.

World Routes 2018 will help Guangzhou tocompete with other Chinese and Asian airports by attracting new air services. The event will be an unprecedented opportunity to show the aviation industry what Guangzhou and the Guangdong region has to offer.

We are delighted with how the international route development community has responded to the event being hosted in this city. We have exceeded all our targets for attendance and have been bowled over by the response to the event. We have several first-time attendees joining us this year and have airlines represented from all over the world, including;Ukraine International, Finnair, South African Airways, TUI Group, American Airlines, Virgin Australia, Royal Air Maroc, Delta Air Lines, Norwegian, Southwest Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, Air New Zealand, Qatar Airways, All Nippon Airways, Hawaiian and S7 Airlines. In fact, there are 21 carriers attending World Routes 2018 who have never attended a Routes event before.

This is a testament to the attractiveness of the host city.

在廣東省、廣州市的正確領(lǐng)導(dǎo)和全力支持下，廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)于2015年10月向世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)（Routes）主辦方英國(guó)博聞集團(tuán)（UBM）正式遞交了申辦2018年第二十四屆世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)的申請(qǐng)，并于2016年4月與博聞集團(tuán)正式簽署承辦協(xié)議，成功取得2018年世航會(huì)的承辦權(quán)。再過(guò)六天，來(lái)自全球的航空公司、機(jī)場(chǎng)、政府及旅游機(jī)構(gòu)的代表將匯聚廣州、共襄盛會(huì)。為使大會(huì)取得更好成果，中國(guó)民航局及國(guó)內(nèi)三大航空公司領(lǐng)導(dǎo)也將出席大會(huì)，在共同見(jiàn)證盛會(huì)之時(shí)，共商廣東民航發(fā)展大計(jì)，進(jìn)一步促進(jìn)廣州國(guó)際航空樞紐建設(shè)，推動(dòng)廣東民航高質(zhì)量發(fā)展，助推粵港澳大灣區(qū)建設(shè)。

The much-anticipated World Route Development Forum is going to be held in Guangzhou on September 16 after its successful bidding against fierce competition and intense preparations. This is of great and far-reaching significance for Guangzhou to build itself a“sky-neighboring city” with a day’s travel across the globe, for Guangdong Airport Authority to promote the high-quality development of Guangdong’s civil aviation and become a“world-class airport group”, and for Baiyun Airport to build a world-class aviation hub and a higher-quality“Aviation Silk Road”.

The World Route Development Forum is the only aviation event in the world that is jointly attended by decision-makers from airlines, airport management agencies, governments and tourism agencies, as well as related industries. Beginning in 1995, this event is held annually. According to statistics from York Aviation, an independent official organization of the UK, the hosting of the World Route Development Forum is bound to have a huge impact on the economic development of the host city, bringing in an expected added value of ￡122 million over the next three years.

舉辦世航會(huì)對(duì)于廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)來(lái)說(shuō)，同樣具有非常重要的意義。目前，廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)正處于快速發(fā)展的重要時(shí)期，高質(zhì)量發(fā)展的最緊迫時(shí)期，實(shí)現(xiàn)歷史性發(fā)展的重要機(jī)遇期和窗口期。為此，廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)確立了發(fā)展的努力方向，就是推進(jìn)廣東民航高質(zhì)量發(fā)展、爭(zhēng)創(chuàng)世界一流機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)。今年4月26日，白云機(jī)場(chǎng)2號(hào)航站樓和綜合交通中心正式啟用，機(jī)場(chǎng)硬件設(shè)施得到了極大提升，這是打造廣州國(guó)際航空樞紐，推動(dòng)粵港澳大灣區(qū)建設(shè)，推動(dòng)廣東“四個(gè)走在全國(guó)前列”的一項(xiàng)重大舉措，也是廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)建設(shè)“世界一流機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)”戰(zhàn)略目標(biāo)道路上的一個(gè)重要節(jié)點(diǎn)，是白云機(jī)場(chǎng)加快建設(shè)世界級(jí)航空樞紐的重大契機(jī)。在迎來(lái)改革開(kāi)放四十周年，廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)爭(zhēng)創(chuàng)“世界一流機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)”征程站上新起點(diǎn)之際，承辦世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)具有特別重要的意義。

For this reason, major cities worldwide compete to bid for a chance to host this event. To date, the World Route Development Forum has been held successively in Abu Dhabi, London, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dubai, Berlin, Vancouver and other cities. Guangzhou is the third Chinese city to host the World Route Development Forum after Beijing and Chengdu. The hosting of the World Route Development Forum will surely become a new driver for promoting global exchange in economy, trade, culture and tourism, stimulating Guangzhou’s development and boosting the airport economy.

世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)是目前全球唯一由航空公司、機(jī)場(chǎng)管理機(jī)構(gòu)、政府和旅游機(jī)構(gòu)及相關(guān)行業(yè)的決策者共同參與的航空盛會(huì)，始于1995年，每年舉辦一屆。正因如此，全球各大城市競(jìng)相申辦。迄今為止，世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)已先后在阿布扎比、倫敦、阿姆斯特丹、哥本哈根、迪拜、柏林、溫哥華等城市成功舉辦。廣州是繼北京、成都之后，第三個(gè)成為世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)舉辦東道主的中國(guó)城市。截至目前，本屆世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)，已經(jīng)接到來(lái)自全球112個(gè)國(guó)家的300多家航空公司、700多家機(jī)場(chǎng)管理機(jī)構(gòu)、130多家政府及旅游機(jī)構(gòu)3200多名業(yè)內(nèi)嘉賓，以及全球近百家媒體記者的申請(qǐng)，共計(jì)約3500多名嘉賓代表參與。

Up to now, this year’s World Route Development Forum has received applications from over 300 airlines, over 700 airport management agencies, over 130 government and tourism agencies, and nearly 150 media reporters from 112 countries worldwide. A total of more than 3,500 guests and delegates will participate in this event, including elites and big shots from Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Lufthansa, Dubai International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport, among others.

本屆世航會(huì)從9月16日開(kāi)始，到9月18日結(jié)束，展館設(shè)在廣州琶洲會(huì)展中心、面積達(dá)41880平方米，共有2.2/3.2/4.2/5.2四個(gè)展館。其中廣東省機(jī)場(chǎng)管理集團(tuán)主展臺(tái)位于展館3.2館中心位置，有近千平方米，將重點(diǎn)展示廣州航線(xiàn)網(wǎng)絡(luò)、航空經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展、旅游文化等豐富內(nèi)容。9月16日上午09:00，在廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)主展臺(tái)將舉辦大會(huì)開(kāi)幕儀式，并與航空公司簽訂航線(xiàn)開(kāi)發(fā)合作備忘錄。會(huì)議期間，主展臺(tái)還將開(kāi)設(shè)“廣州之窗”特色展示，全天候、多時(shí)段為嘉賓帶來(lái)非遺傳人現(xiàn)場(chǎng)手藝制作，以及嶺南文化、廣府文化、美食文化等互動(dòng)體驗(yàn)，讓廣大來(lái)賓領(lǐng)略羊城之美。

This World Route Development Forum will kick off on September 16 and conclude on September 18. The exhibition will be held at Guangzhou Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an area of 41,880 square meters. There are four exhibition halls numbered 2.2/3.2/4.2/5.2. The main exhibition booth of Guangdong Airport Authority is located in the center of Hall 3.2. In an area of more than 1,000 square meters, it will focus on displaying Guangzhou’s route network, aviation economy development and tourism culture and so on. The grand opening ceremony will be held at the main booth at 09:00 a.m. on September 16, and memoranda of understanding on cooperation in route development will be signed with airlines. During the conference, the main booth will also provide the“Window of Guangzhou” featured display. The bearers of intangible cultural heritage will showcase their craftsmanship on the spot for the guests at different times all day long during the period. There will be interactive experiences on Lingnan culture, Cantonese culture and food culture as well, so that the visitors can appreciate the beauty of Guangzhou.

We“Gather in Guangzhou to Connect the World.” As an important indicator of an international metropolis, Guangzhou has laid a solid foundation with its aviation network. As one of the three major aviation hub airports in China, Baiyun Airport is a nationally positioned“Belt and Road” international aviation hub. It has two terminal buildings and three runways. The terminals have a building area of 1,181,700 square meters, which can meet the operating needs of 620,000 take-off and landing flights, a passenger throughput of 80 million, and a cargo mail throughput of 2.5 million tons.

截至目前，白云機(jī)場(chǎng)共有近80家中外航空公司在運(yùn)營(yíng)，通航點(diǎn)超過(guò)210個(gè)，其中國(guó)際和地區(qū)通航點(diǎn)接近90個(gè)，輻射中國(guó)內(nèi)地航點(diǎn)超過(guò)130個(gè)。從白云機(jī)場(chǎng)出發(fā)，兩小時(shí)航程可以覆蓋中國(guó)西南、華中、華南地區(qū)，四小時(shí)航程可覆蓋中國(guó)及東亞、西亞、南亞、北亞地區(qū)，十二個(gè)小時(shí)航程可覆蓋全球主要城市。2017年白云機(jī)場(chǎng)旅客吞吐量超過(guò)6500萬(wàn)人次，位居全球第13位。年旅客吞吐量同比增幅超過(guò)10.2%，與全球排名前13的其余機(jī)場(chǎng)相比，增長(zhǎng)速度是最快的。2018年，我們還要抓住“一帶一路”機(jī)遇，結(jié)合粵港澳大灣區(qū)機(jī)場(chǎng)建設(shè)，從廣州戰(zhàn)略定位出發(fā)，提出航線(xiàn)拓展計(jì)劃，開(kāi)通更多國(guó)際直飛航線(xiàn)，與廣州一起共享城市發(fā)展，全面加快世界級(jí)航空樞紐建設(shè)進(jìn)程。

Up to now, nearly 80 Chinese and foreign airlines are operating at Baiyun Airport, with links to more than 210 flight points, including more than 80 international and regional flight points. It radiates to more than 130 destinations in mainland China. Departing from Baiyun Airport, you can reach anywhere in Southwest China, Central China and South China in two hours; reach any point in the entire region of China and East Asia, West Asia, South Asia and North Asia in four hours; and reach any of the major cities around the world in 12 hours. In 2017, Baiyun Airport’s passenger throughput exceeded 65 million, ranking 13th globally. The annual passenger throughput saw a year-on-year increase of more than 10.2%, which is the fastest growth rate compared to the top 13 airports in the world. In 2018, we will also seize the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road Initiative. Coupled with the construction of airports in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the strategic positioning of Guangzhou, we have proposed a route expansion plan to open more international direct flights, share Guangzhou urban development with you, and accelerate the construction of itself as a world-class aviation hub.

The World Routes is known as the"Olympic Games" and"World Expo" in the global civil aviation industry. This year’s World Routes will be held in Guangzhou with the theme of“Gathering Guangzhou ? Connecting the World”, making Guangzhou the third city in China hold this conference after Beijing (2009) and Chengdu (2016), which is also another global conference was held in Guangzhou following the 16^th Asian Games and the 2017 Fortune Global Forum. Decision-makers from global airlines, airport management agencies, tourism agencies and related industries will gather in Guangzhou for this grand event. According to the registration of the conference, this conference will be the largest in the history of the World Routes. In recent years, as a frontier of reform and opening up, Guangzhou has been adhering to the resource endowment, development foundation and innovative spirit, constantly optimizing the hub-type network city pattern, and striving to build strategic hubs of international shipping, aviation and technological innovation. In this process, the city's international competitiveness, attraction and influence have been further enhanced. Guangzhou International Aviation Hub has achieved good results. In 2017, Baiyun International Airport achieved a passenger throughput of 65.84 million passengers, ranking third in China and 13th in the world. Among them, international passengers accounted for 24%, the route network has covered 220 destinations around the world, and Guangzhou has become an important international transit point connecting Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia. Guangzhou Airport Economic Zone has initially formed five high-end airport industrial clusters for aircraft maintenance and passenger aircraft change cargo aircraft, aviation logistics, aviation headquarters business, airport cross-border e-commerce and aircraft leasing. These development achievements are not only an important foundation for the current World Routes, but also a wing for creating new opportunities, cooperating and achieving more win-win situations.

如何看世航會(huì)對(duì)廣州的機(jī)遇？

It is my great honor to participate in the Forum. We all know that we generally compare one runway at the airport to the backbone road of one city. This runway is an important power source for the economic and social development of the city. One international large aviation hub is a window of the city, a spokesman of the city image, an engine of economic development, and even a bridgehead for foreign trade. During this process, the airlines are civilization communicators of the whole city, and utilize their routes to converge bridges of the city to connect the world. This World Route Development Forum coincidentally plays a role of bridge organically connecting the city, airline, and airport, and a platform for mutual exchanges and integration development.

這個(gè)問(wèn)題特別有意思，而且我們也意識(shí)對(duì)于很多國(guó)際化的城市來(lái)講，國(guó)際化城市對(duì)于我們國(guó)際航線(xiàn)或者強(qiáng)有力國(guó)際航線(xiàn)的建立都是非常關(guān)心的，這也是廣州作為一個(gè)國(guó)際化的大都市希望帶來(lái)更多國(guó)際化的發(fā)展，當(dāng)然毫無(wú)疑問(wèn)現(xiàn)在廣州白云機(jī)場(chǎng)已經(jīng)有很強(qiáng)的吞吐能力，很好航線(xiàn)服務(wù)能力。同時(shí)我也看到廣州市政府也希望不斷創(chuàng)造更多的機(jī)會(huì)，幫助本地的民航發(fā)展，并且將廣東和其它亞洲機(jī)場(chǎng)和全球的機(jī)場(chǎng)緊密聯(lián)合在一起。這樣的過(guò)程也是城市發(fā)展的催化劑，同時(shí)也向我們展示了城市發(fā)展的情況，所以這就能夠幫助我們看到廣州現(xiàn)在在機(jī)場(chǎng)的建設(shè)確實(shí)投入了很多的精力、人力、物力，如果談到世界航線(xiàn)發(fā)展大會(huì)對(duì)廣州帶來(lái)的影響，我相信主要有三點(diǎn)：

This question is quite interesting, and we are also aware that international cities become very much interested in the establishment of our international routes or powerful international routes, while as an international metropolis, Guangzhou hope to bring more international development. In the global market, especially in the Chinese market, Ecuador exports a lot of flowers, shrimps, bananas, and wood products to the Chinese market, and meanwhile China also imports these important agricultural products of coffee and coconut from Ecuador. More importantly, I hope to come to China to promote tourism resource, including the number of visitors. I feel that all these can be continuously strengthened by more cooperation between Ecuador and China, so as to truly promote the development of the two markets. The Forum is very important to us, and we are also willing to become one member of the Forum because Ecuador is a relatively developing country, and we pay special attention to exploring the large market opportunities in China. As the government of Ecuador, we hope to make every effort to export more products in Ecuador to the Chinese market, such as prawns and fruits in Ecuador, including other very important agricultural products, and meanwhile hope to further promote tourism resources of Ecuador in China.

Then, please tell us the measures you will take to grasp the opportunity of the World Route Development Forum because the Administration Committee is the spokesman of Guangzhou City as well as the builder of"aviation city".

It is a rare opportunity for involvement of the industry in Guangzhou, further expansion of international aviation network and development of international routes. In this aspect, I think it is a rare good opportunity for Guangzhou, and the Municipal Committee and Government may also grasp the opportunity in attracting investments in the aviation industry to introduce a number of good enterprises to settle in Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District. As I mentioned earlier, the project of modifying passenger aircraft to freighter, project of aircraft maintenance, and aircraft of aviation logistics have formed in the Guangzhou Aerotropolis Development District. 剛才張董事長(zhǎng)在發(fā)言里面說(shuō)到，世航會(huì)有100多個(gè)國(guó)家，300多家航空公司，通過(guò)辦這樣的會(huì)我覺(jué)得應(yīng)該從三個(gè)方面去表達(dá)跟展現(xiàn)我們現(xiàn)在一些實(shí)力為下一步白云機(jī)場(chǎng)拓展航線(xiàn)做工作。第一個(gè)方面應(yīng)該是市場(chǎng)，第二個(gè)方面是現(xiàn)有的設(shè)施設(shè)備，人力，第三個(gè)方面是為發(fā)展的前景和規(guī)劃，從這三方面入手做好這次白云機(jī)場(chǎng)舉辦世界航線(xiàn)大會(huì)的營(yíng)銷(xiāo)。

President Zhang has mentioned in his speech just now, World Route Development Forum has involved over 100 countries as well as over 300 airlines. By holding such a conference, I think we should express and demonstrate some of our strength from three aspects, so as to further develop routes for Baiyun Airport. We should complete the marketing of Baiyun Airport for holding of World Route Development Forum from the three aspects of market, existing facilities and equipment, and development prospects and planning.

首先市場(chǎng)，白云機(jī)場(chǎng)2016年世界吞吐量排15位，2017年13位，今年上半年在11位，也就是說(shuō)我們?cè)诓粩嗤皼_。過(guò)去三年我們新開(kāi)63條國(guó)際航線(xiàn)，每年大概是二十多條，我們通航點(diǎn)到了88個(gè)，國(guó)際跟地區(qū)的通航點(diǎn)，2008年42個(gè)到現(xiàn)在翻了一番，2008年國(guó)際旅客425萬(wàn)，今年將近1800萬(wàn)，增加了4倍，2008年國(guó)際貨物20萬(wàn)噸，到現(xiàn)在113萬(wàn)噸。通過(guò)世航會(huì)，我們計(jì)劃在未來(lái)三年計(jì)劃開(kāi)通30條國(guó)際航線(xiàn)，其中有14個(gè)是歐美長(zhǎng)航線(xiàn)。所以我們想通過(guò)舉辦這樣的會(huì)，首先讓這么多航空公司了解廣州的航空市場(chǎng)體量跟規(guī)模，現(xiàn)在廣東省，算上大灣區(qū)，我們現(xiàn)在在航空的體量在國(guó)內(nèi)排到第一位，這么一個(gè)大體量的航空市場(chǎng)，期望有更多的航空公司了解這個(gè)市場(chǎng)的重要性。

First, the aspect of market, Baiyun Airport ranked 15th in the world in terms of throughput in 2016, 13th in 2017, and 11th in the first half of this year. This means that we are constantly moving forward. In the past three years, we have opened 63 international routes, about 20 per year. We have 88 international and regional flight points, doubling the figure of 42 in 2008. The number of international passengers reaches nearly 18 million, increasing 4 times from 4.25 million in 2008. The international cargos reach 1.13 million tons from 200,000 tons in 2008. By the World Route Development Forum, we plan to open 30 international routes in the future three years, including 14 long haul Europe and America routes. Therefore, we first want many airlines to understand the aviation market volume and scale in Guangzhou by holding the Forum. Now, Guangdong Province, together with the Greater Bay Area, ranked 1st in terms of the aviation volume in China. For such an aviation market with a large volume, we expect more airlines to under the importance of the market.

第二旅游，我們了解到2016年在廣州過(guò)夜的國(guó)際旅客達(dá)到860萬(wàn)人次，為廣州直接創(chuàng)造的營(yíng)收是63億美元。通過(guò)航空快速的發(fā)展，商務(wù)的交流，旅游的發(fā)展是大大的促進(jìn)，所以對(duì)旅游市場(chǎng)也是非常大的發(fā)展。我們珠三角廣州這個(gè)市場(chǎng)也是非常具有活力，快速發(fā)展的市場(chǎng)，通過(guò)世航會(huì)，讓航空公司、旅游機(jī)構(gòu)了解廣州的航空市場(chǎng)和旅游市場(chǎng)。這次世航會(huì)有300多家航空公司，通過(guò)這樣的會(huì)，機(jī)場(chǎng)和航空公司可以做一對(duì)一、一對(duì)多，非常有效，面對(duì)面的溝通。我們想象一下，如果去國(guó)外跟國(guó)外的航空公司推介自己，要走遍一百多個(gè)國(guó)家，需要多少時(shí)間，通過(guò)這樣的會(huì)議是非常有效、直接的面對(duì)面溝通，包括機(jī)場(chǎng)時(shí)刻的安排，都是非常有效的溝通。第二方面通過(guò)世航會(huì)，特別是今年4月26號(hào)二號(hào)航站樓跟交通中心啟用以后廣州目前的杭州樓，T2有65.87萬(wàn)平方米，增加了65個(gè)橋。通過(guò)基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施大大的改善，現(xiàn)在的保障能力大幅度的提升，尤其T2好幾個(gè)，特別是國(guó)內(nèi)轉(zhuǎn)國(guó)際，國(guó)際轉(zhuǎn)國(guó)際，國(guó)際轉(zhuǎn)國(guó)內(nèi)流程的提升給游客非常好的體驗(yàn)。還有整個(gè)航站樓商業(yè)文化各方面配套設(shè)施的提升，我們旅客在進(jìn)入白云機(jī)場(chǎng)有一個(gè)非常好的體驗(yàn)，愿意到白云機(jī)場(chǎng)，通過(guò)優(yōu)秀、良好的服務(wù)品質(zhì)提升我們旅客在世界民航，游客之間對(duì)廣州比較好的印象，這是展現(xiàn)我們很好基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施的保障和服務(wù)的品質(zhì)。

Second, as for tourism, we learned that the number of international passengers staying overnight in Guangzhou reached 8.6 million in 2016, directly creating a revenue of 6.3 billion USD for Guangzhou. The rapid aviation development and commercial exchanges will greatly facilitate the tourism development, so the tourism market will be also developed greatly. Our Guangzhou market in Pearl River Delta is also a very dynamic and fast-growing market. The World Route Development Forum lets airlines and tourism agencies understand the aviation market and tourism market in Guangzhou. Over 300 airlines participate in the World Route Development Forum, and by the Forum, airports and airlines can make one-to-one, one-to-many, efficient and face-to-face communication. We can imagine that if you go abroad and promote yourself to foreign airlines, you have to go all over more than 100 countries and spend much time. This Forum provides efficient, and direct face-to-face communication, including the efficient communication in the arrangement of airport schedule. In the second aspect, by World Route Development Forum, especially after the No.2 Terminal and Transportation Center on April 26 this year, the current Terminal in Guangzhou T2 covers 655,800 square meters, increasing 65 bridges. 很多人問(wèn)我，這次開(kāi)世航會(huì)，對(duì)南航來(lái)說(shuō)是不是心情比較復(fù)雜，因?yàn)槲覀儠?huì)吸引來(lái)自全球超過(guò)300家的航空公司飛廣州，對(duì)于一個(gè)主基地航空公司來(lái)說(shuō)底用什么樣的心情面對(duì)這樣的航線(xiàn)大會(huì)，在這里跟大家分享一下我們南航的想法。

Many people have asked me whether we have mixed emotions about the holding of the World Route Development Forum because we will attract over 300 airlines around the world to fly to Guangzhou. As for the attitude of a main base airline towards the Forum, I would like to share our opinions here.

首先南航作為廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)重要的戰(zhàn)略合作伙伴，我們非常支持，也非常期待，也將和廣東省機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)一道共同助力推動(dòng)這次世航會(huì)在廣州的成功舉行。航空產(chǎn)業(yè)和其他產(chǎn)業(yè)最大的區(qū)別在于沒(méi)有任何一家公司提供完整的產(chǎn)品，因?yàn)槟闾峁┑氖强臻g的位移，所以航空公司需要更多的合作伙伴完善我們的航線(xiàn)網(wǎng)絡(luò)，為市場(chǎng)提供更加完善的產(chǎn)品。由于航空的特殊性，天空的屬性是屬于各個(gè)不同的國(guó)家，所以航空產(chǎn)業(yè)和其他產(chǎn)業(yè)不同，比如零售產(chǎn)業(yè)，家樂(lè)?？梢蚤_(kāi)到全球任何一個(gè)地方去，但由于天空主權(quán)的限制，航空公司不可能在全世界任何一個(gè)天空自由飛翔。所以我們希望通過(guò)航空公司和航空公司之間的合作，能夠讓我們自己的旅客，廣東廣州市的旅客能夠飛到他想飛到的地方。所以我們很期待在這次航線(xiàn)大會(huì)上，和更多的全球航空業(yè)的合作伙伴，不斷優(yōu)化和完善航線(xiàn)網(wǎng)絡(luò)，提高服務(wù)。

First of all, CSA is an important strategic partner of Guangdong Airport Authority, and we provide strong support to, look forward to, and promote the successful holding of World Route Development Forum in Guangzhou together with Guangdong Airport Authority. The greatest difference between aviation industry and other industries lies in that no company provides complete products because you provide the space displacement. So, airlines require more partners to improve our aviation network, and provide more perfect products for the market. Due to the distinctiveness of aviation, the sky space belongs to different countries in its attribute. So the aviation industry is different from other industries. Take the retail industry for an example, Carrefour can open branches in any global place. But due to the restriction of sky sovereignty, airlines can't freely fly in any sky around the world. Therefore, we hope that our own passengers, and passengers in Guangzhou, Guangdong to fly to their desirable places by the cooperation between airlines. So we look forward to continuously optimizing and improving the route network and services together with more global partners in the airline industry in the Forum.

第二，一個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)要實(shí)現(xiàn)跨越式的發(fā)展，僅靠點(diǎn)對(duì)點(diǎn)的航空網(wǎng)絡(luò)不足以支撐，點(diǎn)到點(diǎn)航空的流量主要取決于當(dāng)?shù)氐娜丝?、?jīng)濟(jì)規(guī)模、經(jīng)濟(jì)增長(zhǎng)、貿(mào)易流量等等。法蘭克福是一個(gè)只有兩百萬(wàn)人的小城市，但是是全球重要的航空樞紐。所以樞紐的打造希望有更多的航空公司利用同一個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)完成這個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)客源之間相互的交換，尤其在我們身邊，重要的航空樞紐都在我們的身邊，新加坡，香港、東京、首爾都在我們身邊，如果不從廣州中轉(zhuǎn)，一樣可以從其他的機(jī)場(chǎng)完成中轉(zhuǎn)。所以我們希望我們和廣東機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)一起共同打造或者共同做優(yōu)做強(qiáng)廣州樞紐，讓全世界更多的旅客愿意到廣州中轉(zhuǎn)。一個(gè)中轉(zhuǎn)旅客給一個(gè)機(jī)場(chǎng)吞吐量的貢獻(xiàn)，是一個(gè)點(diǎn)到點(diǎn)旅客的兩倍。

Second, only the point-to-point aviation network is not enough to support the leap-forward development of one airport. The traffic of point-to-point aviation mainly depends on the local population, economic scale, economic growth, trade flow, etc. Frankfort is a global important aviation hub although it is a small city with a population of only two million. Therefore, for the building of a hub, we hope more airlines to utilize the same airport to completion the mutual transfer between airports and passenger sources. Especially near us, the important aviation hubs are near us, including Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Seoul. The transit may be completed from other airports if the transit is not completed from Guangzhou. Therefore, we hope to jointly build or develop Guangzhou hub better and stronger together with Guangdong Airport Authority, and let more passengers all over the world are willing to go to Guangzhou for transit. The contribution of one transit passenger to one airport throughout is twice that of one point-to-point passenger to one airport throughout.

去年我們?cè)趶V州白云機(jī)場(chǎng)吞吐量占比已經(jīng)超過(guò)55%，我們已經(jīng)是廣州最大的基地公司，而且南航今年飛機(jī)規(guī)模將超過(guò)800家，我們是亞洲最大的航空公司，我們是全球第四個(gè)航空公司，所以我們也相信南航有這樣的胸懷，也有這樣的實(shí)力，能夠和機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)一起共建廣州樞紐。我們非常開(kāi)放希望所有的航空公司，所有全球航空業(yè)的合作伙伴都來(lái)飛廣州，為廣州機(jī)場(chǎng)的繁榮貢獻(xiàn)我們的力量。同時(shí)我覺(jué)得這些所有來(lái)飛的航空公司都將成為我們現(xiàn)在和未來(lái)的合作伙伴，我們能夠共同讓廣州航空市場(chǎng)更加繁榮，我們有更多的旅客愿意選擇在廣州轉(zhuǎn)機(jī)，把廣州的樞紐做得更實(shí)，更堅(jiān)強(qiáng)。

Last year, our Guangzhou Baiyun Airport occupied over 55% of the throughput. We have become the largest base company, and CSA will have 800 aircrafts. We become the largest airline in Asia and the fourth largest airline in the world. So we also believe CSA have the ambition and strength to build Guangzhou hub together with Guangdong Airport Authority. We are very open and hope that all airlines and all global partners in the airline industry to fly to Guangzhou contribute to the prosperity of Guangzhou Airport. Meanwhile, I think all airlines flying to Guangzhou will become our current and future partners. We can jointly make the Guangzhou aviation market more prosperous, and more passengers will be willing to select Guangzhou for transit. We will make the Guangzhou hub more solid and stronger.

廣州要打造航空城，怎么打造，光靠點(diǎn)對(duì)點(diǎn)的客源是遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)不夠，所以我們更希望把樞紐做好，對(duì)南航也是有幫助的。未來(lái)我們也期待和廣東省機(jī)場(chǎng)集團(tuán)一起為廣州的城市建設(shè)，經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展作出努力。中國(guó)有一句老話(huà)，百聞不如一見(jiàn)，讓所有航空界的朋友借此世航會(huì)來(lái)親身體驗(yàn)一下廣州，了解一下廣州，增進(jìn)對(duì)廣州的認(rèn)識(shí)，也增進(jìn)大家飛廣州的信心，我們很期待這次世航大會(huì)能夠取得圓滿(mǎn)的成功。

It is far not enough for Guangzhou to build an aviation city by relying only on point-to-point passenger sources, so we hope to build the hub well, which is also helpful for CSA. In the future, we also look forward to working with Guangdong Airport Authority to make efforts to the city construction and economic development over Guangzhou. There is an ancient Chinese saying it is better to see once than hear a hundred times.
